François Perrin arrive à Orly avec aux pieds une chaussure jaune et l'autre noire. Une aubaine pour Perrache, adjoint du colonel Toulouse, chef d'un service secret, que ce jeune violoniste fantasque. Il le choisit pour jouer, à ses dépens, le rôle d'un redoutable espion international. Toulouse, las de défendre sa place contre son très ambitieux adjoint Milan, a décidé de s'en débarrasser une fois pour toute, en le lançant sur une fausse piste.

Ged Brennan, un gros bonnet du crime, est très méticuleux dans l'organisation de ses braquages. Avec une décennie d'expérience, il a appris à ne prendre aucun risque. Mais lorsqu'un braquage tourne mal et qu'un baron de la drogue est sauvagement assassiné, une guerre des gangs se déclare et l'univers de Ged est plongé dans le chaos.
